WHAT IS DERMAPLANING?

In short dermaplaning is a luxury facial that detoxifies, cleanses and rejuvenates the skin.

SKIN CONDITIONS AND DERMAPLANING

A full consultation will be done a few days before the appointment. Some skin conditions will mean that the facial cannot be performed but this depends on what the condition is and how severe it is. Some conditions just require the treatment to be adjusted. This will all be discussed prior to the appointment.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT

First the face is double cleansed with the products suitable for your skin type.

Then a sterile wipe is applied to the skin to ensure the skin is smooth for the blade.

A surgical blade is then lightly applied to the skin to begin the facial.

After this a hydrating mask is applied to add the moisture back into the skin.

Finally an SPF enriched moisturiser is applied to your new glowy gorgeous skin.

THE AFTERCARE.

- No makeup for 24 hours

- Must apply SPF 30 (min) for the next 72 hours

- No steam applied to the face (saunas, etc)

- No spraytans for 24 hours

- No further facial hair removal (eyebrow waxing)

- No sunbeds or direct sunlight

- No excessive gym or sweating

- Regular Facials and use of homecare products will regulate the skin and provide better results

Q. How long does the treatment take?

A. Depending on how well you look after your skin the facial can take anywhere between 45 minutes- just over 1 hour.

Q. Does it hurt?

A. Not at all, it is a really relaxing facial

Q. Will I see immediate results?

A. Definitely, your skin will be glowing and your complexion will be much smoother and brighter. When you apply products you'll notice they go on better

Q. Are there any side effects

A. On some occassions the skin can become slightly red and puffy immediately after the treatment, these symptoms generally subside within the next 30 minutes. This is generally a skin sensitivity reaction.

Q. How often can I have the treatment?

A. You can have the treatment once a month, just so the skin has time to benefit from all the amazing effects of dermaplaning
